MTV’s long-running and popular reality series Real World is returning, but on streaming services.

The show first screened in 1992, based around eight young people living together in a house in a new city, with cameras capturing their ups and downs.

It is said to be the first-ever reality TV series.

It was put on hold after its 32nd season in 2017.

MTV Networks and producer Bunim-Murray Productions are bringing it back, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

MTV has been bringing back its hotter properties, starting with My Super Sweet 16 last year, and Jersey Shore this April.

However, they have remained on MTV.

The plan for Real World is that it will end up on a service like Netflix, where MTV believes is where the show’s demographic is.

Bravo made a similar move with Queer Eye earlier in 2018.
