GYRO.Group has today announced a series of key senior leadership appointments and promotions as it renewed its commitment to Australian music.

GYRO.Group, the leading independent music distribution and artist services company behind G.Y.R.O., DistroDirect, GROUP SPEED, and Soothe Sounds, has expanded its team to 70+ people worldwide as it continues to build on a period of commercial and critical success.

In 2026 so far, GYRO.Group has worked on five ARIA Chart-topping albums, including Keli Holiday's breakout Capital Fiction.

"We are doubling down on our investment in Australian artists and in the people and platforms it takes to get them heard globally," says Andy Irvine, CEO and co-founder of GYRO.Group. "Our goal is to be the biggest net exporter of Australian music, and every decision we are making right now — who we hire, where we expand, what technology we build — is pointed directly at that."

Leading the new appointments is Henry Compton, who joins as Head of APAC for DistroDirect.

Compton brings more than two decades of experience across business development, marketing, and client relations, most recently with senior roles establishing both The Orchard and FUGA, where he led business development, go-to-market strategy and client acquisition and retention across Australia and New Zealand.

“Henry is exactly the calibre of executive we've been building towards bringing into the DistroDirect fold,” GYRO.Group CCO Matthew Rogers says. "His track record of building and scaling operations in this market is second to none. Having Henry lead that charge in APAC gives us enormous confidence about what's ahead — both for the partners we serve in those markets and for the Australian artists we want to bring with us."

GYRO.Group has also announced a number of internal promotions.

Adrian Burke steps into the expanded role of Executive Vice President of Artist Services and A&R, after leading GYRO.Group’s artist services arm GROUP SPEED since its inception.

Alison Bremner moves into the role of General Manager - Marketing, taking on strategic leadership of brand development across the full GYRO.Group portfolio globally; Harry Young takes on duties of Head of A&R for AU/NZ, after joining in late 2025; Alexandria Thomson is promoted to Artist Marketing Lead for Australia and New Zealand; Claire Hirayama-Kaarsberg has been elevated within DistroDirect to a Partner Relations Manager position; Alyssa d’Artenay moves into Pitching and Artist Services Management and Kriza Canzon now has an expanded Artist Support and Compliance remit.

“Adrian and Alison have been central to building what GYRO.Group looks and feels like — from the artist campaigns we run to the brands we put into the world,” GYRO.Group CMO and co-founder Vivienne Mellish says. ?Formalising their leadership at this level is a reflection of the extraordinary work they've done and the even bigger roles they're going to play as we grow. The wider team changes are a reflection of the growth and ambition of the people in our corner and we couldn’t be prouder to have them with us on the journey.”
