A new music festival is coming to Sydney and Melbourne.
Astral People have today unveiled Move My Way - a new event taking over Sydney's Carriageworks and Melbourne's PICA this October with a lineup led by Ezra Collective, Freddie Gibbs, Kokoroko, and Sampa the Great.
Positioned as a community-focused event grounded in “comfort, connection and community", Move My Way aims to bring together local scenes and international artists linked by what organisers describe as a “shared musical language".
The Sydney event will take place on Saturday, October 3rd, kicking off from 2pm, followed by Melbourne on Sunday, October 4th. Presale tickets go on sale from 12pm (AEST) on Tuesday, May 19th, before general public tickets become available from 12pm (AEST) on Wednesday, May 20th. Sign up for presale here.
Among the headline acts, Ezra Collective arrive in Australia following a major few years that has seen the Mercury Prize-winning group cement themselves as one of the UK’s most celebrated contemporary acts. Their 2025 album Dance, No One’s Watching recently earned them Group of the Year at the BRIT Awards, while their set at Glastonbury further elevated their global profile.
Freddie Gibbs also joins the bill after releasing Alfredo 2 earlier this year, the follow-up to his Grammy-nominated collaborative album Alfredo with The Alchemist. Over the past decade, Gibbs has become one of hip hop’s most respected lyricists, collaborating with artists including Madlib, Danny Brown, Pusha T, ScHoolboy Q, and Yussef Dayes.
London outfit Kokoroko will return to Australia in support of their second studio album Tuff Times Never Last, while Sampa the Great continues her run as one of Australia’s most internationally recognised hip hop artists, following acclaimed releases including The Return and As Above, So Below.

The broader lineup spans international selectors, DJs, and genre-blurring artists including Qendresa, GENA, Luke Una, Takuya Nakamura, Coco María, Jamz Supernova, Tash LC, xmunashe, and Miles Nautu.
Local crews will also play a central role in shaping each city’s edition of the festival. Sydney collective Planet Trip will host a takeover at Carriageworks featuring artists including La Foxy Fuzz, Lu Faria, Lauren Hansom, Mike Who, Ritual, Setwun, and Sista Cini, while Melbourne institution Northside Records will curate a dedicated soul and funk space at PICA.
