Aussie singer-songwriter Indigo Sparke has signed with US indie label Sacred Bones for the release of her debut album, Echo.

Echo is co-produced by Sparke, Andrew Sarlo and Adrianne Lenker, known for her solo work and as the frontwoman as indie band Big Thief. The record is due out on February 19. To coincide with the signing announcement, Sparke released a new single, 'Everything Everything'.

Sacred Bones' Caleb Braaten told TMN the label picked Sparke because of her "world and vision".

"A lot of music passes by me in my day-to-day dealings with the record label. Most of it is pretty good, some of it is pretty bad, but so very rarely do I hear something that I play for a second time as soon as it finishes," he said.

"That happened when I first heard Echo, I immediately felt so connected to Indigo's world and vision. I didn't balk for a moment, I knew then and there that I wanted to work with her.”

Sparke described the label signing as "getting married in some way".

"I guess the main thing was [Braaten] really got the music, and me. I want to have deep and personal relationships with everyone in my life, that’s the most important thing to me, it creates some foundation of realness and safety and its really the only way I can operate if I am going to be sharing my music or my soul with the world in any capacity," she said.
