The Australian music industry's first-ever dedicated mental health conference will no longer go ahead this October.

Support Act will expand its crisis relief program beyond the music industry to all arts sector employees, including those in theatre, dance and circus.

The series will focus on the mental health challenges faced by First Nations artists, managers & crew.

Head First will now take place on Thursday, October 7.

An additional 48 participants will be able to register to attend the mental health support program this year.

Ongoing COVID-19 restrictions mean the industry's first mental health conference cannot proceed as planned.
