WSFM takes over smoothfm as the #1 radio station in Sydney

This survey is a rather uneventful one (spoiler!), in regards to big movers across the five markets. As the importance of landing commercial radio airplay slips as streaming rises, it's the stations that lean heavily on catalogue music who are making the biggest waves in Sydney.

WSFM have pushed back to again become the #1 FM station in Sydney, bumping smoothfm from first to third place, with KIIS FM sliding into second spot.

Jonesy and Amanda's breakfast show helped propel WSFM to the top, bolstering its listener share to 8.9% - up from 7.8%.

At least smoothfm can take some comfort from the fact they are now the #1 FM station in Melbourne, toppling Fox, who have dropped to third place, with Gold taking #2.
