In Sydney, Gold 101.7 has recorded the sharpest fall, with breakfast plunging to 6.1% after Christian O’Connell took over. In what will be the Kyle and Jackie O Show’s final ratings result, Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson were again No. 1 FM in Sydney, steady at 12.7%, but behind Ben Fordham on 2GB, who soared to 16.6%. Triple j Breakfast rose 0.8% while Drive rose 2%.
Meanwhile in Melbourne, 3AW has retained its lead, despite a slight dip. O’Connell’s retooled Breakfast show sat comfortably in its home city, but was beaten by 3AW and Nova 100. In Melbourne, triple j Breakfast dropped 0.7% and Drive rose 0.2%.
KIIS 973 was one of Brisbane’s biggest movers, with the station up 1.3 points overall and its breakfast slot climbing to 12.3%, while Triple M has held onto the top breakfast spot in Adelaide, as KIIS suffered the biggest fall of the market. Nova 93.7 held its lead in Perth, while Gold 96Fm dropped sharply following its rebrand.
