Tones And I is the latest act to step into Fortnite’s Soundwave Series.

The global show screens on Saturday, January 22 at 10am AEDT for Australian viewers.

It will repeat non-stop for 72 hours.

“The Madhouse experience in Fortnite is sick and I can’t wait for you all to see it," the Australian singer-songwriter said.

Within Fortnite, Tones will perform songs from her debut chart-topping album Welcome To The Madhouse which included the hits ‘Fly Away’, ‘Cloudy Day’ and ‘Just A Mess’.

Her interactive experience, an adventure inspired by the songs, was brought to life by Fortnite community creators Team Alliance and TheBoyDilly.

The Tones show is the second in the Soundwave series.

The first, last October, featured Mohamed Hamaki, a popular Egyptian singer and actor who served as a coach on The Voice Ahla Sawt in 2019.

Others coming up in the series are Brazilian rapper Emicida, Japanese pop star and producer Gen Hoshino, and French-Malian singer Aya Nakamura.

According to Nate Nanzer, vice president of global partnerships at Epic Games, the series will introduce crossover artists from around the world to millions of new fans inside Fortnite Creative, where there are "virtually no limits on what can be designed by our community”.

Aside from showcasing her art in a spectacular manner to a new audience, it will be interesting to see how much Tones will financially benefit from the show.

Travis Scott’s Fortnite show earned him US$20 million in digital merchandise sales.

Ariana Grande’s Rift Tour in early 2021 was expected to surpass that figure.

Tones has a massive global following, with eight billion streams to her name, according to Sony Music,  and hits as ‘Dance Monkey’ and ‘Never Seen The Rain’.
