After Seven’s success with The Voice Australia paid off last year, it’s coming back with the inaugural spin-off The Voice Generations.

The first in the global franchise premieres at 7.30pm on Monday, January 31, with all four Voice coaches – Keith Urban, Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy – on board for the three days.

The concept shows families, friends, neighbours and even students and teachers, teaming up.

The series begins with the Blind Auditions in a bid to turn the coaches’ big red chairs.

After each coach gets two contestants, it’s on to the Battles, where the eight chair-turning acts sing head-to-head for a spot in the first-ever grand finale of The Voice Generations.

The four finalists will take to the stage to perform one last time for their shot at the title of the world’s first The Voice Generations Champion.

Sebastian said Australia is going to love The Voice Generations.

“It really encapsulates the true unifying aspect of music," he said.

“It’s such an incredible feeling when you’re surrounded by people who you love, and the harmonies and instruments all come together.

“It’s infectious and addictive being in a family like that, but it’s also incredible to watch that magic unfold before our eyes.”

Hosted by Sonia Kruger, The Voice Generations is an ITV Studios Australia production for the Seven Network which took over The Voice in 2021 from Nine.

TMN reported that the finale pulled in 1.383 million viewers across the five capital cities.
