MusicNSW is on the hunt for five people to join its regional team.

One manager position and four part-time co-ordinator roles are on offer, to help the organisation offer tailored support for regional musicians, venues and live music professionals.

The regional manager will work with the four co-ordinators to provide regionally driven professional development, grant support and touring resources, culminating each year with five tours across regional NSW.

The recruitment forms part of the Regional Music Officer program.

MusicNSW said applicants should have great project management experience, a love of music and their finger on the pulse of what's happening in their local music community.

The roles are effective from March 1, with recruitment taking place between now and Jan. 31 next year.

The Regional Music Program kicked off in 2019 as a pilot project on the South Coast, Southern Tablelands and Riverina regions. In 2021, the program expanded to the Northern Rivers, Mid-North Coast, Arts North West and Arts OutWest. It has now secured four-year funding and will focus on increasing contemporary music touring activity, expanding networks and building industry knowledge in regional NSW by supporting capacity-building of artists and industry professionals living and working in regional areas.
