Melbourne Music Week (MMW) has called on the music industry to take part in this year’s event.

Organisers are seeking input from labels, venues, promoters and businesses for the event’s Self-Made Series, Live Music Safari, The Hub and Umbrella programming components.

Held from November 14-23, the 2014 program operates on an idiosyncratic co-production model with the help of the City of Melbourne.

Chair of the Marketing Portfolio Councilor Beverley Pinder-Mortimer said: “Music Week is an event unlike any other. Last year MMW had everything from live scores to films and DJs on trams, musicians pairing up with local cafes, international acts alongside well known Melbourne musicians, live broadcasts and even a pop up bicycle quartet.”

Applications to take part in MMW’s fifth instalment close Monday June 9.
