Gotye makes UK’s list of top all-time selling singles

Gotye’s global hit track has been listed in the UK’s list of top all-time selling singles.

Somebody That I Used to Know ft. Kimbra is nestled between (We’re Gonna) Rock Around the Clock and Moves Like Jagger at #39 in the UK’s Top 50 Singles Chart. Compiled by the Official Charts Company, the list includes the top singles that have sold over one million singles.

Gotye now shares the accolade with fellow Australians The Seekers, whose song The Carnival Is Over comes in at #42 and Olivia Newton-John, who sits at #5 and #20 with John Travolta for the Grease soundtrack cuts You’re The One That I Want and Summer Nights, respectively.

Somebody That I Used to Know topped 26 national charts, sold more than 13 million copies worldwide and made the global list of top-selling digital singles.
