Ella Hooper joins SCA for new music podcast and Triple M radio show

Ella Hooper has joined Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) to present Front & Centre, a new music podcast on the broadcaster's LiSTNR app.

She will also host workdays on SCA's Triple M 90s digital radio station.

“I’m thrilled to be back on air and in the exciting digital audio world with LiSTNR, bringing fresh content via the podcast and am relishing the chance to wax lyrical about my favourite musical decade, the 90’s,” Hooper said.

Having spent more than 20 years in the spotlight as the frontwoman of Australian band Killing Heidi, Hooper has gone on to forge a media career across both TV and radio.

She has previously hosted SCA’s Top 20 Countdown and in 2012 earned an ACRA for Best Newcomer at the Australian radio industry's annual commercial radio awards.

SCA's head of music, Mickey Maher, said Hooper will bring "a unique insight and storytelling ability to her Front & Centre features".

"We are delighted that someone with Ella’s charm, quick wit, intelligence and musical knowledge has joined our ranks to front not one, but two, music projects for us,” Maher said.

Front & Centre, which is exclusive to the new LiSTNR app, will spotlight the biggest names in music and exclusive interviews with Lorde, Benee, Green Day, The Living End, The Killers and Imagine Dragons already locked in.
