Chugg warns fans about fake Billie Eilish tickets

Billie Eilish is set to kick off her tour of Australia this week, and tour promoter Chugg Entertainment has warned fans ahead of the show dates.

The rising superstar's solo dates are completely sold out, with the tour being presented by Laneway Presents & Chugg Entertainment.

The promoters have sent a warning via email blast, warning fans that "tickets purchased via unauthorised outlets may be deemed invalid".

Tickets to Eilish's first tour Down Under were snapped up in record time, and Chugg released additional tickets in Auckland and upgraded her venue in Brisbane to deal with the demand.

But fans are urged to take care and to look for a few red flags when purchasing re-sold tickets.

"While we strongly discourage it, we anticipate that some fans will have purchased tickets from outlets other than the official partners as listed at chuggentertainment.com.

"If this is the case, and you purchased tickets from an unauthorised vendor, there is a chance that your tickets may be fraudulent or invalid."

Chugg also advised parents taking their kids to all ages shows to "wait until their children have successfully entered the venue before departing the area" as "the validity of a ticket can often not be determined until the patron is entering the venue."

Eilish's When We All Fall Asleep tour kicks off tonight in Auckland, before dates in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Fremantle.

She's also playing regional festival Groovin The Moo which begins on Saturday in Maitland, having played Coachella last week.
