APRA AMCOS has entered a multi-territory licensing agreement with Netherlands copyright organisation Buma/Stemra.

The agreement is facilitated through APRA AMCOS' Pan Asian Multi-Territory Licensing (PAL) hub, and will see the Australian rights organisation represent Buma/Stemra's repertoire through the wider Asian region, including India.

The arrangement includes licensing, collection and royalty distribution for Buma/Stemra's artists.

Buma/Stemra currently represents more than 30,000 composers, lyricists and music publishers, including Tiësto and André Rieu.

"The online market is growing rapidly in Asia. We’re thrilled that our members from now on will benefit from that growth," Buma/Stemra CEO Bernard Kobes said in a statement.

"We really look forward to working closely together with the excellent APRA AMCOS team in order to maximize the revenue stream for our members."

APRA AMCOS launched the PAL hub in 2013, with Universal Music acting as the foundation member. The hub now includes 12 members.
