APRA AMCOS Opens Applications for 2026 RESONATE Songwriting and Production Program
Applications have opened for the 2026 RESONATE program, a four-day collaborative initiative for Indigenous songwriters and producers.

Applications have opened for the 2026 RESONATE program, a four-day collaborative initiative for mid-career and established Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander songwriters and producers.
Taking place at 4000 Studios in Brisbane across June, in partnership with MPEG, the two programs (one for songwriters, one for producers) bring together top talent across the country to foster creativity, innovation, and collaboration for writing and recording new music. RESONATE Producers also elevates participants' skills through learning from the industry's most successful producers and engineers.
Leah Flanagan, Director of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Programs and Strategy at APRA AMCOS, said: “RESONATE creates time and space for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander songwriters and producers to come together, collaborate deeply and push their creative practice.
"The strength of the program lies in shared experience, with artists learning with and from each other, building connections that support their careers over the long term.”
Collaborators already confirmed for the RESONATE program include 18YOMAN, Dean Brady, Lucy Blomkamp, and Nicholas Littlemore. RESONATE Producers will be led by Empire of the Sun and PNAU’s Nicholas Littlemore, multi-award winning 18YOMan, and indie/folk producer LEN20.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander APRA AMCOS members can apply for both programs and successful applicants will have travel and accommodation costs to and from Brisbane covered, as well as a daily honorarium.
The program is now in its sixth year, and has had a hand in producin some of the biggest tracks from Indigenous artists today, including Tasman Keith's "IDK" from A Colour Undone, Tessa Thames’s “Cherry Blossoms In Tokyo”; and Jem Cassar-Daley's “King of Disappointment”, which has nearly three million streams on Spotify alone.

Previous RESONATE Producers attendee, Candice Lorrae, explained: “Being a participant in the 2025 RESONATE Producers Program instantly lifted my confidence by levelling up my production skills. It was a great way to meet like-minded producers and artists. This experience has been a huge game changer for me.”
Dominik Felsmann, co-founder of 4000 Studios, added: “We’re thrilled to have RESONATE back at 4000 Studios for its third year. It’s definitely one of our favourite events of the year - the atmosphere and sense of connection at this camp is second to none. Very excited to see the program welcome new faces and reconnect with old friends!”
MPEG has once again partnered with the RESONATE Producers program in 2026. Executive director Kurt Luthy said: "The calibre of mentors and participants makes RESONATE one of the best programs in Australia today.”
Applications are now open, closing Friday, April 10th (RESONATE) and Friday, April 24th (RESONATE Producer). To apply or find more information, see here.
