Digital Chart Wrap: The Weeknd hits #1

It’s an incredibly stagnant week in the Top 10 of the ARIA Streaming chart this week with no change until #9 with One Direction’s Perfect debuting and pushing R. City’s Locked Away (featuring Adam Levine) down to #10 from #9. This of course means that Justin Bieber’s What Do You Mean? holds #1 for another week.

Dawin’s Dessert takes a new peak at #11 from #22 on its second week in the chart whilst Rudimental’s Lay It All On Me featuring Ed Sheeran moves up to #15 from #18. Selena Gomez enjoys a jump up to #26 from #37 on week two in the chart.

One other debut comes in at #29, Jess Glynne’s Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself.

iTunes

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ Downtown holds the iTunes chart next week though it is now under threat from Drake’s Hotline Bling at #2 up from #6. A new debut comes at #3 with One Direction’s Perfect whilst Robin Schulz’s Sugar closes the gap at #4 up from #5.

Dawin’s Dessert sees movement here as well with a jump to #6 from #10 with Jess Glynne close behind at #8 from #12 with Don’t Be So Hard On Yourself.

The Weeknd’s The Hills moves up to #12 from #33 followed by Duke Dumont’s Ocean Drive at #18 from #32.

Conrad Sewell makes an impressive jump to #22 with Who You Lovin’ up from #42; even more notable is the jump Zara Larsson & MNEK’s Never Forget You makes at #24 from #73.  

Three debuts make it into the Top 50 with Marcus Marr & Chet Faker’s The Trouble With Us entering at #35, Troye Sivan’s Talk Me Down at #36 and Jess & Matt’s Do You Remember (X Factor Performance) at #41.

Shazam 

A new #1 tops the Shazam chart this week, that being The Weeknd’s The Hills, which moves up from #2. Replacing him at #2 is Zara Larsson & MNEK’s Never Forget You, now up from #4.

Three new entries in the Top 10 make the rest of the notable top end movement. First at #6 is Conrad Sewell’s Who You Lovin, up from #14. Marcus Marr & Chet Faker’s The Trouble With Us enters at #7 from #40, and Lost Frequencies’ Reality takes #10 from #12.

Outside the top bracket, Fetty Wap’s 679 featuring Remy Boyz takes #14 from #23 while One Direction’s Perfect this #17 from #38 on week two in the chart. Shawn Mendes makes similarly large movement at #22 from #51 while L D R U’s Keeping Score hits #31 from #76 followed by Philip George & Anton Powers’ Alone No More at #3 from #71.

Adele’s Hello marks the only new debut in the Top 50 while X Ambassadors’ Renegades re-enters at #40 followed by Krept & Konan’s Freak Of The Week re-entering at #45.
