Digital Chart Wrap: Avicii charts high

Another similar looking Top 5 on the ARIA Streaming chart this week with no movement whatsoever. Major Lazer & DJ Snake again holds #1 with Lean On featuring MØ but the first movement comes in at #6 with Deorro & Chris Brown’s Five More Hours, taking a new peak and moving up from #8. Jessie J’s Flashlight also sees a new peak, this week at #15 from #27. Hermitude’s The Buzz featuring Mataya & Young Tapz takes a new peak at #23 from #28, drawing closer to the Top 20 where it should land next week. One new debut comes in this week at #21, from Avicii’s Waiting For Love.

iTunes

The iTunes 100 sees a new #1 from Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood featuring Kendrick Lamar. The track jumps from #31 while Jessie J’s Flashlight takes #2 from #5. Moving up to #4 from #49 is Conrad Sewell’s Start Again on its second week in the chart. Ed Sheeran’s Photograph manages to crack the Top 10 at #9 up from #11 while Rachel Platten’s Fight Song just misses out at #11 up from #13. Avicii sees a new debut at #19 with Waiting For Love while Flume enters close behind at #25 with Some Minds. Hozier’s Someone New jumps to #30 from #40 while Cold War Kids’ First takes #35 from #72. Two other debuts enter in the Top 50, the first being Major Lazer & Ellie Goulding’s Powerful at #41 and Jason Derulo’s Cheyenne at #48.

Avicii’s Waiting For Love finds a new home at #1 on the Shazam 100 this week, making the jump from #13. DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge’s You Know You Like It takes #2 from #6 while Conrad Sewell’s Start Again sees a leap to #4 from #43. Meghan Trainor’s Like I’m Gonna Lose You sees a strong entry at #9. Little Mix’s Black Magic makes its Top 20 appearance at #18 from #34 and will likely break the Top 15 or even the Top 10 come next week’s chart. Two other debuts enter in the Top 50 with Charles Hamilton’s New York Raining featuring Rita Ora entering at #42 and Sam Smith’s Leave Your Lover at #46.

It’s an almost completely stagnant Top 10 on the Spotify chart this week with absolutely no movement occurring till #8 with Kygo’s Firestone moving up from #9. Major Lazer & DJ Snake’s Lean On remains at #1. A debut at #10 and #11 comes from Jessie J’s Flashlight and Avicii’s Waiting For Love respectively. Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do re-enters at #16 with no other notable movement taking place in the chart this week.
