The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees numerous musicians enter the charts for the first time.
Emma Donovan & the PutBacks have re-emerged at #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the blues soaked tones of Black Woman, also taking #9 in the Metro stakes. The talented funk soul sister and crew have received airplay in every state and territory at stations including 2XX FM in ACT, Gove FM in NT, 4EB in QLD, Huon FM, City Park Radio and 97.1 FM in TAS, Wangki Yupurnanupurru, Tjuma Pulka Media Aboriginal Corporation and Heritage FM in WA, 5UMA, Tribe FM, Fleurieu FM and Hills Radio in SA, Bega Community Radio and Northside Radio in NSW, as well as Melton Community Radio, Main FM, 3WBC, 3RPC and 3SER in VIC.
Tame Impala have jumped to #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Eventually. The panoramic single has picked up a spot in 2ser Sydney’s SERvin’ Up list and 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20, and the new record Currents has been Local Feature on RTR FM Perth and Album of the Week on FBi Radio Sydney. Katie Noonan has entered the Amrap Regional Chart at #3 with the delicate melodies of Quicksand. Perth folk veterans The Waifs are back, entering the Amrap Regional Chart at #4 with the raw single 6000 Miles.
