Our new Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide a fascinating insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week has some interesting shifts as new contenders squeeze in and others hold their ground. We also glean some great tie-ins as community radio embraces artists with interviews, in studio performances and online promotion.

The High Learys Clear my Mind jumped two spots to reach #1 on the Amrap Metro Chart. Their in-studio performance filmed on Live and Local at 89.7fm Perth is also gaining traction across station websites through Amrap Pages including Triple R Melbourne and Radio Northern Beaches Sydney.

Dan Sultan topped the Amrap Regional Chart with Dirty Ground. We appointed Dan as our inaugural Community Radio Amrap Ambassador earlier this year because he’s one of the most consistently supported artists by community radio through Amrap and Dirty Ground has quickly gained community radio airplay in every State and Territory. The live film clip is getting extra coverage on station sites including here at Edge Radio Hobart.

Emma Donovan & The PutBacks’ Dawn debuted at #10 on the Amrap Regional Chart. Emma had a busy week on community radio making feature album on Eastside Radio Sydney and PBS Melbourne, a terrific live performance on ‘Studio 5 Live’ at PBS, and community radio interviews and reviews including Noosa Community Radio, 979FM Victoria and 2SER Sydney.

Daily Meds made #4 on the Amrap Metro Chart with Modern Day Messengers Ft. Thundamentals, following their guest set on Sunset with Stolen Records on FBi Sydney. Listen back on demand here or catch a replay from noon this Wednesday on the new digital radio station FBi Click.

Velociraptor’s Leeches debuted at #6 on the Metro Chart, and was the most aired artist on 4ZZZ Brisbane last week. San Cisco’s Run continues a solid run in the Regional Chart at #8 this week with the infectious film clip still gaining traction on station websites through Amrap Pages including here on 2MCR’s Saturday Night Live.
