Sound NSW’s latest batch of grants total $9.3 million in funding for local musicians, representing the “biggest ever” package of its kind.

Sound NSW this week unveils the Touring and Travel Fund and Recording and Promotion Grants, which provided a leg up for local artists.

The grants will be used to assist the five recipients create new sound recordings.

The Sounds Australia Export Stimulus Program will deliver $1.2 million across 18 months to assist Australian artists return to the international touring circuit.

The organisations also urged governments of all levels to work with the industry on a business interruption support package.
