WOMADelaide has announced a further 30 artists for its 2023 edition, including two of Australia's finest contemporary artists.

The 30 global names span such wide-ranging genres as Scottish folk-rock and Moroccan blues, and they join Florence and the Machine and Bon Iver on the lineup.

The legendary Senegalese musician Youssou N'Dour is coming back to WOMADelaide for his fourth appearance, while Norwegian folk-pop star AURORA will be making her festival debut.

They'll have to travel more than 500 Miles but Scotland's iconic twins The Proclaimers will be performing as part of their Australian tour since 2019.

On the contemporary front, Sampa The Great will appear, following a sublime 2022 that saw her drop an acclaimed album and feature in the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack. Multiple ARIA Award-winning Ghanaian-Australian star Genesis Owusu has also been added to the lineup. You can check out the full lineup announcement below.

“We’re incredibly excited to be able to present a full international program again with such a diverse array of artists from 26 countries many of whom are making their Australian debut at WOMADelaide next March,” said Ian Scobie, Director.

WOMADelaide is set to take place on the weekend of March 1oth-13th at Adelaide's Botanic Park. The next festival program is expected in late November.
