Vance Joy was first introduced to the music industry early this year, when Michael Gudinski gathered a selection of journalists in Melbourne for a Mushroom showcase, and unleashed a string of superlatives before presenting an understandably nervous Vance Joy, who belted out a selection of tunes sans-mic. Among these tracks was Play With Fire, and it’s a testament to both Gudinski’s nose for a winner and Vance Joy’s songwriting skills that this track is poised to become Joy’s second big radio hit of 2013. If radio jump onboard early this track could reach Brother-levels of success.
