UNIFIED Music Group has announced the signing of chart-topping Australian outfit Boy & Bear to UNIFIED Artist Management and its Lonely Lands booking agency.

The indie folk band formed in 2009 and have since become one of the country's most successful outfits of the last decade. The band's signing to UNIFIED Music Group comes at a good time for Boy & Bear. They recently returned to the studio to begin work on their much-anticipated fifth studio album.

The past few months have also seen the band return to the top of festival lineup announcements and sell out several headline shows, including at Sydney's State Theatre.

Their new team includes UNIFIED Artist Management's Aidan McLaren and Joe Miles, and they've also partnered with boutique booking agency Lonely Lands with agent Harry Moore.

"We couldn’t be more excited to be working with Boy & Bear," McLaren said. "They’re just such a compelling band. Amazing songwriters, incredible live. They’ve achieved so much already and yet there is so much more to come. I can’t wait for people to hear the new music the guys are working on and to see what’s in store over the next 18 months and beyond. Watch this space."

Moore added: "I have always been a massive fan of the band since they formed. It's an absolute honour and privilege to work alongside this incredible band and team."

Hopes will be high for Boy & Bear's forthcoming fifth album. Their previous fourth LPs reached the top 10 on the ARIA Album Chart, including two number ones with 2013's Harlequin Dream and 2015's Limit of Love.

Their debut album, 2011's Moonfire, won five ARIA Awards and had three songs in the triple j Hottest 100. Their most recent album, 2019's Suck on Light, placed seventh on the ARIA Album Chart and further consolidated their reputation in their home country.

Boy & Bear are heading out on an Australian tour in 2022, beginning in Torquay on January 7th. Full tour details can be found on their official website.
