Three more sessions added to CBAA conference
The workshops are: 'Set your station up for bequest success', '“Fun”draising for your small station' and 'Doing the studio' – what managers need to know about studio refits'

Three more workshops have bee added to the CBAA (Community Broadcasting Association of Australia) conference, to be held November 8—10 on the Gold Coast.
'Set your station up for bequest success'
Anne Frankenberg, acting CBAA vice president and deputy general manager at Australian National Academy of Music (formerly 3MBS) on why community radio is uniquely positioned to benefit from donations from visionary supporters and organisations.
Frankenberg will talk on how stations can make the best of these opportunities, build up security and achieve their targets no matter what their size or resources.
'“Fun”draising for your small station'
Putting the fun back into the daunting task of fundraising with a session that comes up with ideas to try.
These include organising events that actually raise money, starting up a subscriber (“friends of”) program, turning OBs into fundraising opportunities, seeking donations or grant funding to address specific station needs and more.
It is presented by Nancy Falcone of Byron Bay 99.9, Wangki Radio, and CMTO trainer.

The latest in the standing-room-only "tech for the non-technical” sessions sees Technorama president John Maizels on making informed choices about investing in studio facilities.
The CBAA says, “We'll cover everything from current lingo and trends, the merits of digital or analogue consoles, and the information you need to liaise with vendors and techs."
