South By Southwest in Texas has extended showcase invitations to three more Australian acts.

This came as 100 more global names were announced.

The latest three are Sydney guitarist and singer-songwriter Kirin J Callinan; Melbourne based Macedonia born electronic, soul, R&B artist Blush’ko (FKA Blasko); and Rachael Fahim, Sydney based country music singer-songwriter and winner of the 2017 Toyota Star Maker award.

They join 45 previously announced Aussie acts including Delta Riggs, Catherine Britt, Amyl & The Sniffers, Camouflage Rose, Jarryd James, Haiku Hands, Bloods, Tia Gostelow and Emerson Snowe.

The amount of Australian delegates who’ve signed up for music, film and tech now sits at 550 – a huge leap from the 400 who committed this time last year.

SXSW’s Australian/NZ/Hawaii rep Phil Tripp told TMN he expects the number to reach 800.
