A starry-eyed singer will soon land a recording contract with EMI Music Australia as The Voice Grand Finale Week begins this Sunday on Nine.

The franchise returned to the network for its ninth season on May 24, drawing 1.01 million overnight metro viewers, equalling its 2019 premiere.

The show's ratings have since been mixed this year after strong competition from rival networks, but producers are preparing for a big finish.

Nine is promising a "series of must-see guest performances" to lure viewers with a Sony Music-signed lineup of Amy Shark, Daryl Braithwaite and coaches Guy Sebastian and Delta Goodrem.

The Showdowns will determine the top eight artists who will make it through to the Semi-Final.

Shark, with a new single in the market, also joins the show as a Guest Mentor next week.

On Sunday night Team Guy and Team Kelly’s five remaining artists each perform a song of their choice in a bid to impress their coaches and go through to the Semi-Final.

Team Delta and Team Boy George will follow suit on Monday night.

Once each coach has selected their top two, the eight artists will appear in the Semi-Final on Tuesday night as the journey to crown The Voice of Australia reaches "fever pitch".

Each coach will then select one artist to represent them in the Grand Finale on July 19 as the final four compete to win $100,000 in prize money and the deal with EMI Music.

The winner will be determined by the first public vote of the season as the coaches hand over responsibility viewers to choose the winner.
