It's officially Australian Idol finale week. The 2026 season will conclude with a huge two-night broadcast starting tonight (April 13th), including a live finale that brings together leading Australian artists and emerging talent.

Finale week kicked off with rehearsals and promotional activities, including a fan event at Westfield Hurstville which attracted hundreds of attendees.

Closing out the season with a strong showcase of local music, the broadcast will feature a star-studded lineup of Australian talent, including Vanessa Amorosi, who is currently touring nationally, singer-songwriter Pete Murray (also touring), Anthony Callea who holds the title of fastest selling single in Australian music history, ARIA Award-winning country artist Morgan Evans, and judge singer-songwriter Amy Shark.

"We’re thrilled to be hosting so many amazing Aussie artists on this week’s Idol Grand Finale," Australian Idol executive producer Joel McCormack told The Music Network. "Our finalists have given everything to get here and now they’re sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry so it’s a full circle moment."

Harlan Goode (18, Brisbane), Kalani Artis (23, NSW Central Coast), or Kesha Oayda (21, Jindabyne) will be crowned the 2026 winner on Tuesday night (April 14th).

"After a season of incredible music, we’re putting on a finale that is a true celebration of what Idol represents. If you love live performances, magic TV moments and supporting fresh Aussie talent, it’s a must-watch," McCormack continued. "Our finalists are ready, the stage is set and what’s about to happen is something truly special."

Of performing this week with the finalists, judge Amy Shark told The Music Network: “As a judge, you’re there for every step of their journey, so performing on the finale and sharing that stage on such a huge night feels really full circle.”

The winner will receive $100,000 in prize money, a recording package with Hive Sound Studios, and marketing and social media support from The Annex. They will also attend a songwriting camp with Sony Music Publishing, as well as the ARIA and Logie Awards later this year.

Following the finale, Goode, Artis, and Oayda will each release The Idol Collection, an album of their performances (distributed across all streaming platforms via The Orchard).

The Australian Idol grand finale will air on Channel 7 and 7Plus from 7:30pm tonight (Monday, April 13th), with the winner announcement tomorrow (Tuesday, April 14th), also from 7:30pm.
