Well, we figured they wouldn’t fly half the world away just to play in Adelaide, and this morning The Rolling Stones added another six dates to the Australasian leg of their tour, hitting Perth, Melbourne*, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland and Victoria’s Hanging Rock.

The tour is dubbed 14 ON FIRE, being billed as a string of ’One Night Only’ shows - so obviously tickets will be snapped up quickly on December 16 when they go on sale, with a pre-sale from next Monday.

Here’s a Mick Jagger quote to read in his cartoonish voice in your head: "Can’t wait to reconnect with all our friends in Australia and New Zealand. It’s been a while since we’ve played to you all, so we are looking forward to being back on stage & playing your favourite songs."

Interesting, a run of "lucky dip" seats from each venue will be available for $99, which may just plonk you within sneering distance of Keith for less than a hundred dollars.

Below are the dates to put in that 2014 diary you haven’t bought yet (spoiler: you’ll get two for Xmas).

Wednesday 19 March: Perth Arena

* Thirty Second To Mars actually moved their March 28 Rod Laver show to the Hisense Stadium, because when The Stones ask you for a favour, you do the favour.
