The Cure’s Vivid show to be live-streamed
The band has added a fifth show that will go live around the world on Facebook & YouTube.

The Cure has announced that a VIVID Live Sydney show featuring their classic Disintegration album will be live-streamed.
The band had already announced four Vivid shows for May 24, 25, 27 & 28 at the Opera House.
Now they’ve announced a new date, May 30, which will be streamed live around the globe via Facebook and YouTube from 8pm Sydney time.
Disintegration features some of their best-known material including ‘Lovesong’, ‘Pictures Of You’, and ‘Lullaby’.
The performance is directed by British filmmaker and Cure collaborator Nick Wickham.
Band leader Robert Smith said: “We look forward to celebrating the anniversary of this special album with you all... and remember: this album was mixed to be played loud… so turn it up!”

Meantime Smith has revealed that the next Cure album, tipped for the Australian spring, could be a triple-set.
It will sound “so dark” and “incredibly intense“.
He expanded, “We actually went into the studio where they did ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
“It’s a great studio in the middle of nowhere.
“We just played music for three weeks. And it’s great.
“I know everyone says that. But it really is fucking great.”
