Suncorp Stadium General Manager Alan Graham Set to Retire
Suncorp Stadium's Alan Graham, says Harvey Lister, “is one of a kind and his departure will be felt across the industry.”

Alan Graham, general manager for Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, will retire this July after two decades in the role.
Legends ASM Global has managed the venue on behalf of Stadiums Queensland since 2003, when Australia hosted the Rugby World Cup, with Suncorp one of the key venues for the tournament.
“He has been our General Manager at Suncorp Stadium since 2002 except for a 2-year secondment when he managed the Indoor Basketball Arena for the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 for ASM Global,” comments ASM Global chairman and CEO Harvey Lister.
Graham, he continues, “is one of a kind and his departure will be felt across the industry.”
At the 52,500-capacity Suncorp Stadium (also known as Brisbane Stadium and Lang Park), Graham had a hand in over 800 major events. It was Graham who introduced concerts to the venue, starting with Robbie Williams back in 2006. Since then, the likes of Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift, U2, Bon Jovi, Sir Elton John, Ed Sheeran, Eminem, Coldplay, Phil Collins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink, Luke Combs, Foo Fighters, and many others have passed through its gates.

During his tenure, Graham oversaw 27 State of Origin fixtures; ushered in the successful NRL Magic Round, plus hundreds of Brisbane Broncos, Brisbane Roar, Queensland Reds, and Dolphins matches; brought in such international events such as English Premier League contests; the Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn "Battle of Brisbane"; Extreme Sports, the FIFA Women's World Cup and, more recently, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, who will come to the multi-use venue in February 2026.
“Suncorp Stadium is synonymous with Queensland and to be able to shape its story is something that has meant a great deal to me,” Graham remarks.
Graham ensured the venue has been active in the community with the Suncorp Stadium Annual Charity Golf Day and the Annual Christmas Day lunch. The Golf Day alone, reads a statement, has raised over $600,000 for charity partner Hear and Say with Centacare’s Real & Diverse Theatre Group added as a beneficiary in 2024. The Annual Christmas lunch has welcomed 200 disadvantaged locals for a three-course feast on Christmas Day for 7 years running.
A successor will be announced in due course.
“We are finalising arrangements for a very capable successor who will carry on Alan’s great work at the Stadium and will be in a position to make that announcement in the next 2 weeks,” says Lister.
ASM Global was acquired by Legends in a multi-billion-dollar deal announced in November 2023.
