Among her most recent local Spotify initiatives were the Sound Up Bootcamp Australia where ten aspiring First Nations podcasters were given training in podcast creation, story development and understanding their audience.

She also fought to stop the Australian music industry from getting local content quotas imposed on streaming services.

A replacement for the ANZ region has not been announced.

Huxley takes on the top job as Deezer announces Tarek Mounir as its new CEO for MENA and the Turkish region.

Mounir has been eight years in the region, growing the business of international broadcast media company Turner in MENA, Turkey, Greece and Cyprus.

Deezer launched in MENA last October and is about to open an office in Dubai as its regional hub.
