Sounds Australia announces Europe showcases

Sounds Australia is backing Aussie artists at Classical:NEXT, The Great Escape festival, and more.

Aussie artists are set to feature at a series of conferences and events across Europe in May and June with the support of Sounds Australia.

The industry body is backing Australian acts at The Netherlands' Classical:NEXT, England's The Great Escape, Spain's Primavera PRO and the MIDEM Artist Accelerator in France.

Classical:NEXT (May 16-19) features a Sounds Australia program of networking functions, trade stands and one-on-one speed meetings, while Aussie pianist and sound designer Belle Chen will perform.

Sounds Australia is also hosting its Sound Gallery and The Aussie BBQ at The Great Escape festival (May 17-19), with another edition of the BBQ popping up at Hoxton Square in London, and at Spanish festival Primavera PRO (May 30 - June 3).

Artists set to feature across these events include Alex The Astronaut, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Hatchie, Jack River, City Calm Down, Hockey Dad, Odette, Skegss, Stella Donnelly and The Kite String Tangle.

As previously reported in TMN, Client Liaison have been selected for the MIDEM Artist Accelerator (June 5-8) in Cannes, France, while Sounds Australia is providing a dedicated networking space for Australian delegates at the event.
