Melbourne-based independent Shock Records has announced a new signing with Seattle rap duo Ricky & Mark.

Ricky Pharoe (Art Vandaley) and Mark Gajadhar aka Gajamagic (The Blood Brothers, Champagne Champagne, Neon Blonde, and Past Lives) have inked a license deal directly with Shock for the release of their debut EP Get A Real Job You Fucking Losers.

Prior to Ricky & Mark, Pharoe has toured the West Coast opening for the likes of MF Doom, Zion I, Blueprint and Riff Raff, while Gajamagic has toured with Macklemore, was on the 2012 Warped Tour, and has performed throughout the US and Europe opening for the likes of De La Soul, Wu-Tang Clan and TV On The Radio.

Shock’s Label Director Mick Tarbuk told TMN the label were won over instantly: "Management got in touch and as soon as Paige [X. Cho, Label Manager] and I heard the first bar of track 1 Palm Trees we knew had to get our hands on it. The more we heard and saw together with the ‘Find Your Perfect Job’ quiz, the more we realised what an amazing discovery they are."

The new signing is Shock’s first in seven months; the label inked a deal with Melbourne’s Wunder Wunder back in March.

Ricky & Mark join fellow Shock artists like Anti-Flag, Billy The Kid, Propagandhi and Harts.

Shock will release Get A Real Job You Fucking Losers on October 17.
