Southern Cross Austereo has released its latest digital innovation and online activity report, authored by newly-recruited Director of Digital and Innovation Clive Dickens.

The report boasts an almost 200% increase in online growth year-on-year for SCA. It reveals that 2.2m individual users have engaged with SCA online brands; a 90% increase on the 2Day Network and a 70% increase for the Triple M network. Meanwhile, the company claims a 69% share of all Facebook conversations relating to Australian radio.

The unveiling of this report follows SCA’s recent ratings drop, where 2Day FM lost 242,000 listeners after the departure of its hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O (Henderson).

Sandilands and Henderson more than doubled the number of breakfast listeners at their new home, Kiis FM. The ARN (Australian Radio Network) station took out the No.1 FM slot for Sydney in a tie with WSFM’s Jonesy and Amanda, also on ARN.

Dickens was hired in April last year to oversee strategic and operational aspects at the company. Clive is a respected member of the international radio community with more than 30 years experience in the UK, US and Europe.
