Qld Music Awards showcase joins Valley Fiesta

Brisbane’s massive street party Valley Fiesta this year has an additional feature.

A team-up by music association QMusic and the Brisbane City Council will see the staging of the Queensland Music Awards Showcase on Sunday October 25.

Performing between 2pm and 7pm at the Valley Mall Stage are Halfway, WAAX, Michelle Xen + The Neon Wild, Electrik Lemonade, and Leanne Tennant.

Halfway, who took out this year’s Song of the Year, also received a plaque on the Brunswick Street Mall Walk of Fame, joining Emma Louise, Pete Murray, and Troy Cassar-Daley who were similarly honoured in the past.

Valley Fiesta, a music, food, art, fashion, markets and photography initiative of the Brisbane City Council, is held in the streets, malls and laneways of Fortitude Valley for its 19th year between October 23 and 25.
