Post Malone’s sophomore album beerbongs & bentleys has broken more US streaming records with most streams in a week.

The 22-year-old rapper also had the best first week sales so far in 2018.

The hook-laden record debuted at #1 in the US with first week equivalent album units of 461,000 – and of which streaming accounted for 288,000 units.

Tracks from the album collectively generated 431 million streams, breaking the first week 385 million streams of Drake’s More Life in March 2017.

Beerbongs & Bentleys smashed first-day streaming records on Spotify with 79 million global streams.

With streaming equivalent album (SEAs) included, beerbongs & bentleys had the best first week sales in America since Taylor Swift's Reputation sold 1,238 million in November 2017.

These latest achievements follow Malone's smashing of Spotify's first-day streaming record both globally and in the US for the album on its day of release.

Hip hop has been a success story, with strong sales for J Cole and KOD which also reached #1 Stateside with out-of-the-box sales of 397,000 units.

It is expected that Drake will easily topple Malone’s achievement when his Scorpion album hits the market in the northern summer.

Post Malone has also broken the record for the most simultaneous Top 20 entries on the Hot 100.

With nine songs making an appearance, he surpassed the six entries by The Beatles and J Cole.

As noted in TMN, Malone could set a new milestone in Australia by scoring 10 new debuts on the ARIA Singles Chart this week, which has only happened once before.

In the meantime, Malone’s 2016 debut album Stoney, returns to the US Top 10, grabbing 9th spot with 40 million streams.

It has spent 73 consecutive weeks in the Top 25.

beerbongs & bentleys also debuted at #1 in the UK.
