It seems like Niall Horan is going to quickly follow his former One Direction bandmates in releasing a new solo album.
As per Rolling Stone, the Irish musician took to social media to confirm he's finished his new album, which will be his first record since The Show (2023).
Horan posted a series of photos accompanied by the caption, “Album is DONE.” Alongside the photos, he included two snippets of music, the first featuring just a few seconds of mellow acoustic, while the second featured his hands on the piano.
At the time of writing, the album's title and release date have yet to be revealed.
Horan previously traded new music earlier this year, posting a video in January confirming he'd been in the studio. In the same month, he posted another video of him at the mic alongside other musicians. He pasted a screenshot of a fan asking about the new album over the video, replying, “Just a little more time.”
Horan's former 1D bandmate Harry Styles is releasing his new solo album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, next month on March 6th.
Produced by his longtime collaborator Kid Harpoon, the album, which will mark Styles’ fourth studio album and his first since 2022, will feature 12 new tracks.

Styles initially teased the announcement with a series of billboards and posters plastered around the world, from New York and Berlin to São Paulo and Palermo.
Louis Tomlinson, meanwhile, kicked off 2026 with his own solo album, How Did I Get Here?, which received mostly positive reviews from critics.
"The former One Directioner offers a confident, radiant groove on his pivotal third solo LP, How Did I Get Here? — but that's about it," wrote Rolling Stone in a three-star review.
