Mushroom Group is launching a brand new record label as part of a remodelling of its Liberation imprint.

Titled Bloodlines, the label will house the iconic heritage acts currently signed to Liberation.

Its impending launch later this year follows the rebranding of Michael Gudinski and Warren Costello's 15-year-old label Liberation Music to Liberation Records.

The rebrand sees Liberation now exclusively play host to current/younger acts.

Announced today via The Music, Liberation Records will be run by longtime Mushroom employee Damian Slevison, who takes on the role of Managing Director at the label.

Mushroom Group Chairman Michael Gudinski said: "The Liberation name has been in and around Mushroom for a very long time and has under-pinned the successful careers of many musicians and performers.

"Equally, Liberation has always enjoyed a great reputation globally, and I couldn’t be happier that Damian Slevison will continue to grow and develop it for many years to come."
