Stand-up comedian Matt Okine has been announced as the new Triple J breakfast co-host, following Tom Ballard’s departure.

Last week, Ballard announced he is leaving radio to focus on stand-up comedy, after four years hosting breakfast with Alex Dyson.

The duo won the ARIA Award for Best Comedy Release on Sunday night, capping their partnership nicely.

Okine actually launched his stand-up career through Triple J, placing as a finalist in the 2004 Raw Comedy stand-up competition. Below are some of his finest stand-up bits, to help you warm to him. They are kind of NSFW, or at least we recommend the use of headphones if in an open-office that frowns at you blasting the F-bomb numerous times through your computer speakers.
