Loveable slacker Mac DeMarco has taken steps to become a legitimate businessman with the launch of his very own record label, Mac's Record Label.

The future catalogue will be distributed via Caroline globally, with the majority of DeMarco's releases already being with the company via Spunk Records.

Of the announcement, DeMarco commented, "Hi, it's Mac. We're starting a record label; it's called 'Mac's Record Label.’ My friend Jen who plays drums in The Courtneys gave me the name."

DeMarco has also revealed plans for his first ever solo US and European tour which will kick off on Friday (August 10) and take him all the way through until the start of December.

Partnering with not-for-profit PLUS1, DeMarco has committed to donating $1 from every ticket sold to the Purple Bobcat Next To River Tour to support local Girls Rock Camps.
