Jimmy Barnes will perform at the 2025 Logie Awards.
The rock 'n' roll legend will take the stage at The Star in Sydney on August 3rd, in support of his 21st and latest studio album, Defiant.
“I’m excited to be playing at the Logies, television’s big night of nights,” Barnes said. “It will be great to celebrate all the fantastic talent we have in Australian television, and to play some rock’n’roll music to get the party jumping.”
With Defiant, which dropped in June, the two-time ARIA Hall of Fame-inducted artist extended his national chart record. The collection opened at No. 1 on the ARIA Chart, lifting his career tally of solo leaders to 16, a peerless achievement.
As a member of Cold Chisel, that figure rises to 22.
Barnes previously enjoyed the sweet taste of chart victory in August 2024, when Cold Chisel’s 50 Years – The Best of blasted to the top of the leaderboard. The legendary rock band reunited for a massive 50th anniversary tour in support of the retrospective, shifting more than 250,000 tickets.

Born in Scotland, the 69-year-old singer has collected six ARIA Awards as a solo artist and was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005. Cold Chisel were elevated back in 1993.
His spot at the TV industry's big night will cap a triumphant comeback for Barnes, who overcame numerous health battles, including surgeries to his heart, back and a serious infection in the lead up to the aptly-named Defiant.
The "Flame Trees" singer has also spread his wings into publishing and film, with three No. 1 bestselling books and a documentary, "Working Class Man", premiering at this year’s Melbourne International Film Festival.
This year's Logies has a strong music theme. As previously reported, Countdown 50 Years On is a chance in the Best Entertainment Program category, where it faces competition from several music-led shows, including Seven Network’s Australian Idol and The Voice.
Also, there’s a Logies nod for the Seven Network’s broadcast of Ego: The Michael Gudinski Story, nominated for Best Factual or Documentary Program.
