Aussie icons Kylie Minogue and Dannii Minogue are promoting Australian Made products in the USA and UK.

The campaign is on behalf of the not-for-profit Australian Made Campaign Ltd (AMCL), or as you may know it, the green and gold kangaroo.

It aims to help international consumers spot authentic Australian products as part of a broader initiative to promote and protect the Australian Made logo in export markets.

Its chief executive, Ben Lazzaro, said the organisation is thrilled to have the two passionate Australians spread the Australian Made message overseas.

"The Minogue sisters are genuine Aussie icons who continue to elevate Australia's reputation overseas," he added.

The campaign, said to be 'light-hearted' sees Kylie in London speaking to Dannii in Melbourne. Dannii questions whether Kylie can still have the 'Genuine Aussie' stamp of approval while away from home.

The duo aren't available for interviews about the campaign, but issued a joint statement.

"We love Australia and enjoy championing its positive reputation overseas," they said. "The campaign is a fun way to help consumers in the UK and USA to spot the genuine article when they choose to buy Australian."

The campaign was funded by a multi-year Federal Government grant designed to increase the international profile of the Australian Made logo and strengthen its legal position in key export markets. It was developed by agency day&age.

TMN has asked the Australian Made media team for a copy of the campaign, however they declined on the basis that "contractually the campaign can only be viewed in the US and UK".
