Katy Perry Denies She Sexually Assaulted Ruby Rose in Australia
A representative for Perry shared a statement after Rose claimed the pop superstar sexually assaulted her in a Melbourne nightclub.

Katy Perry has denied Ruby Rose’s sexual assault claim.
A representative for Perry shared a statement (as per Rolling Stone) after Rose claimed the pop superstar sexually assaulted her in a nightclub in Australia over a decade ago.
“The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous, reckless lies,” Perry's rep said in the statement. “Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”
Rose made the claim over the weekend in a response to a post about Perry making fun at Justin Bieber's Coachella 2026 set.
“Katy Perry sexual[ly] assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a shit what she thinks,” Rose wrote on Threads.
She shared further details in subsequent posts. “[Perry] didn’t kiss me,” Rose said. “She saw me ‘resting’ on my best friend’s lap to avoid her and bent down, pulled her underwear to the side and rubbed her disgusting vagina on my face until my eyes snapped open and I projectile vomited on her.”
Rose claimed that she had photographic evidence to corroborate her claim, adding that numerous people witnessed the encounter.

She also indicated that she filed a police report on Sunday, though she didn’t state if she was reporting the alleged incident with Perry or another matter that she had been discussing on social media.
In a statement shared with Rolling Stone, Victoria Police said, "We don’t ever confirm the identity of who we may or may not be investigating.”
While Rose didn't specify the exact date of the alleged assault, news articles from 2010 place the pair together at a Melbourne nightclub in August 2010.
Rose claimed she hadn't previously fully shared her experience, in part, because Perry had written letters of recommendation for Rose that helped her secure a visa to come to the US (Rose is Australian).
