NSW singer-songwriter and producer, Jake Davey, has won the 2021 Emerging Artist Scholarship from Market The Music.

The prize includes a year's worth of development, management and guidance, valued at $15,000.

The initiative was put on hold in 2020 due to the limitations of the pandemic, however previous winners include Chelsea Berman, Abbie Ferris and Liam Kennedy-Clark.

Perrin Finlay-Brown, managing director of Market The Music, said the company is thrilled to have the opportunity to work extensively with Davey in 2021.

"We have seen him grow in leaps and bounds the last few years, and our team will do whatever we can to help him on his journey. He has massive potential. He has already had a few wins for the year, and it's only February," Finlay-Brown said.

The 'wins' to which Finlay-Brown is referring include being added to the Savannah In The Round festival lineup, his single 'The Way She Does' being released through Social Family Records, and landing a play on Ray Hadley's popular morning show on 2GB.

Davey said he's pumped about the scholarship, and 2021 is going to be "huge".
