Melbourne Scores New Live Music Venue 'The Graveyard'

A new bar and bandroom in Melbourne will have its grand opening this weekend.

Located in Coburg North, The Graveyard will host a three-day celebration from Friday October 17th- Sunday 19th October, with live sets from some local favourites including Electric Mary, Truck (featuring Dave Leslie from Baby Animals), Child and A Gazillion Angry Mexicans.

It's hoped that the new site will be a "vital" addition to Melbourne's live music and hospitality scene.

“Our vision has always been to grow a strong, inclusive musical community in Melbourne’s north” - Dave Warner, director of One.Be Studios, said.

“The launch of The Graveyard Bar & Bandroom is a major step in connecting local residents with the incredible talent that performs and rehearses here every week.”

The opening weekend will also see The Graveyard team up with Hawkers Brewery to offer a rotating selection of beer on tap, while a number of food vendors will operate at the venue on the day, including Hungry Lah, Brothers Foodies and Street Crepes.
