5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) are embarking on five all-ages shows in winter, the Sydney-based international band announced this morning.

The Meet You There dates follow the June 22 release of their third album Youngblood, which already yielded the title track on the right end of the various singles charts.

It’s # 1 on iTunes, Shazam and Apple Music, #4 on Spotify, Top 3 on ARIA, and a global top 30 record.

The first single off Youngblood, ‘Want You Back,’ debuted at #1 on iTunes in over 18 countries and exceeded 93 million streams worldwide.

Vocalist/guitarist Luke Hemmings explains: “Growing up is what we had to do on Youngblood.

“Seven years as a band may seem like a long time, but we were teenagers when we started. We had to look at each other and say, ‘Are we going to stop now, or do this forever?

“Because if we continue, then we have to go farther than we ever have before.”
