Drake became the first artist to exceed 50 billion streams on all major platforms on August 8, his record company, Republic Records, has claimed.

No further details, including a breakdown of achievements on each service, were provided.

The achievement was helped considerably with the Canadian superstar’s latest album Scorpion, which became the first album to hit 1 billion streams globally across all streaming platforms in a single week.

Scorpion stays at #1 this week on the US Top 200 albums while the single In My Feelings was at top spot for a fourth week in the Top 100 as well as at urban and rhythm radio.

The streaming bonanza is expected to continue as his Aubrey and the Three Amigos Tour (with Migos) finally kicks off in Kansas City tomorrow (Friday).

It was set to begin on July 26 but was delayed by production issues.
