Songwriter, producer and artist David Ryan Harris is the latest member of APRA AMCOS’ “Billions” club, while Sia Furler adds six more trophies to her collection.

Based in Los Angeles, Harris enters The 1,000,000,000 List for his work on Nelly’s 2010 single “Just a Dream,” which passes one billion streams across all platforms.

Lifted from Nelly’s fifth studio album Nelly 5.0, “Just a Dream” peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and ARIA Singles Chart and won “Top Streaming Song” at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards.

The track was written by Harris, Nelly, Rico Love, Frank Romano, Damon Sharpe and James Scheffer, and it’s published by Sony Music Publishing.

Harris, a U.S.-born APRA AMCOS member and ambassador, has toured Australia extensively and has a deep connection with the county's music community, boasting writing and/or production credits with Guy Sebastian (“Battlescars”, “Like It Like That”), Jessica Mauboy (“Just Like You”), Busby Marou (“Getaway Car”) and Tina Arena (“Heaven”).

“Congratulations to David for reaching one billion streams with ‘Just a Dream,’” comments by APRA AMCOS CEO Dean Ormston, who presented Harris with the award.

“His career is truly global, from the work he’s done with Nelly and Australia’s biggest names in pop, to performing live around the world, as a solo artist and collaborating in the studio with a range of top artists, APRA AMCOS is proud to support him in all his endeavours.”

Meanwhile, Sia collects six more Billions Awards, this time for Flo Rida’s “Wild Ones,” Jessie J’s “Flashlight,” “Flames” and ”She Wolf” with David Guetta, “Try Everything” by Shakira and “Thunderclouds,” performed by her supergroup LSD with Labrinth and Diplo.

The Adelaide-born pop superstar now has 15 songs on The 1,000,000,000 List.

The award is the first of its kind to celebrate a songwriter’s achievement, by acknowledging when a musical piece passes one billion streams across the major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, YouTube Music, Vevo, Amazon, and more.
