Up-and-coming Aotearoa indie band Borderline have signed to Concord Music Publishing ANZ.

Concord has signed Borderline to a worldwide publishing agreement covering future works and their existing catalogue.

Hailing from Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Borderline — Ben Glanfield (guitar, vocals, keys), Jackson Boswell (drums, vocals), Matthew McFadden (lead guitar), and Max Harries (bass) — have quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting emerging acts in New Zealand.

2025 saw Borderline reach several career milestones, including making their US debut at SXSW and play headline shows in New York City and Los Angeles.

Borderline followed those milestones up with the recent announcement of their highly anticipated debut album, with the self-titled record set to drop on June 26th via EMPIRE.

Earlier today, they also announced an Australia and New Zealand tour, with shows confirmed in Brisbane, Sydney, and more cities.

“Borderline are one of those rare bands who combine undeniable pop instinct with a genuine creative chemistry. Their songwriting is fearless and intuitive, and it's exciting to see such a young group stepping confidently onto the global stage with a sound that resonates well beyond their local scene,” Concord ANZ Managing Director Jamie Gough says. “We're proud to support them through a worldwide publishing partnership as their story continues to unfold.”

Concord NZ Director Pennie Black adds: "Ben, Jackson, Matthew, and Max are an incredible songwriting team, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they continue to grow and build on their success.”

Borderline say "everything starts with the songs for us.

“From day one, we've focused on writing music that makes people feel something and captures real emotion. To partner with Concord, a team with such a strong global track record and belief in songwriters, is a huge step for us,” they continue. “We've learned how important the right team is, and with Concord behind us, we feel set up to take our songwriting to a new level and reach audiences around the world.”
